Occupational Testing and Programme Development

(Wordsmith/Happy Doing The Detail)

What makes you good at what you do?

Tenacity to get things right, some would call it perfectionism but I live in a detail world and like to make sure that things are done to the highest standards.

Tea or coffee?

Describe working at DCO

Time flies. No two days are ever the same. For me it is a glorious juggling act of communication, planning and design work, conducting testing and handling feedback with colleagues, clients and delegates. It involves plenty of laughter and concentration, tea and cake.

What question would you ask the Pope?

What is it like to have job for life?

Best piece of advice a colleague ever gave you?

Love what you do or change it.

Favourite book?

My oldest paperback friend: To Kill A Mockingbird, Harper Lee.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

Anything that involved sport!

Who do you admire?

People who make plans, follow their dreams and make things happen.

Biggest daily challenge?

Realising the futility of trying to get my two young boys to do things first time, on time.

Cake or cocktail?

Both please.

Most proud of?

As a company – being people’s first choice. Personally – having broad horizons.
